Coach Teddy teaches a move to split the gap and create space where there isn't any. This is a great move to get in the lane and draw fouls. Two unique shots that aren't taught at basic basketball camps. These are fun to practice and great to use in games. Remember to start in close and practice MAKES. Anyone can take tough shots. Be the person who MAKES them!
Everyone wants a beautiful, picture perfect jumpshot. Everyone knows how important shooting form is. If you ask anyone to "show me what a jumper looks like" or "steph for 3eee", 100% of the people show a high release with a lovely follow through. Then why is it, most people have broke ugly jumpers??? Once a player understands, they can have quality practice. This visual example could help speed up that learning curve.
This is a secret to the Allen Iverson (A.I.) crossover. What is missed and overlooked. Too many players dance in place with the ball. Some look like they are having a seizure out there, while never actually creating dribble penetration, getting into the lane, to create shots for yourself or for your teammates.
You'll recognize this one. James Harden's bread and butter Move to get his shot off.
Michael Jordan signature move is basic footwork used effectively.
Cool (rare) move. It is incredible to us how many players limit themselves to what they see on the highlight reels. THIS IS A must have for PGs
Have you ever had a coach tell you to "change speeds" but never ever tell you what that means? Going faster, then going slower, is a part of everyday life. If changing speeds was this simple, why would it be such an elusive skill? Pull Up Jumpshot™ Speed Up To Stop Explanations - Even more incredible is how many people (coaches especially) only think of changing speeds when we are dribbling the ball. Not the case. This video is a gamechanger for players at all levels and will help you in all areas of your game.
Great Drill - How to eliminate steps in your moves to become quicker without being any faster. It's all about timing. This drill is incredible.
FUN 2 ball drill - challenge yourself and have some fun when working on your dribbling skills.
How to visualize proper shooting arc. Too many players have line drive shots because they don't quite understand what the objective is. This video helps any player, young or old, get a better understanding of what path the ball must travel to make the rim its largest.
Coach Teddy uses sports metaphors to help kids/ players visualize what the proper mechanics and shooting form should look and feel like.
Great visualization of when to release the ball on a jumpshot.
Tip to split any trap. Never fear pressure defense. Attack them. Use this tip to break any trap in the half court or the full court. This way you will want the ball in crunch time.
TDBA Coaches Coaching Coaches Program is designed to help all coaches, especially parents and volunteers teach the game the right way.
We all know the 3man weave. Some have done the 5man weave. In order to run this, the 7 man weave, players will have to do the most important thing in basketball.... LISTEN! And coaches need to communicate clearly. This is a Fresh, Fun Team Basketball Drill.
Vintage Mix-tape of the legendary career of Coach Teddy Dupay. Highlights from the Time Machine.
There is one thing that all great FT shooters have in common, We have a routine. It has to be the exact same thing every single time, in practice as well as in game time/ crunch time. If you have an inconsistent Free Throw Routine, you will be inconsistent. Have an iron clad routine on Free Throws. Feel free to steal this one!
